Hello! I'm Gavin Marshall.  Born & bred in Plymouth, and live in St Budeaux.  I am running as your Independent councillor in the local elections on  May 4th 2023.

Here's a summary of me:

St Budeaux resident. Born in Freedom Fields in 1974, and have lived in Plymouth for all but 2 years of my life.  2 wonderful children: my daughter is at Uni studying Criminal Psychology, and my son is doing Engineering at City College Plymouth, and has secured a fantastic apprenticeship here in Plymouth.

My career has mainly been radio: I presented on and ran Plymouth Sound; I was on air at Radio Plymouth during the pandemic, and am now on Devonair Gold . I also ran Plymouth Pavilions for 10 years, and personally booked all of the 3000 shows during that time.

I have always been active in trying to help make Plymouth better, however because of the jobs I did, it had to be behind the scenes, and not political. So I was a Board Director of Destination Plymouth, Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, Conference Plymouth, and two city schools. That’s how I learned that you can actually improve Plymouth without being tied to a political party.

Personally, I love cooking, Argyle, Rugby, F1, my children and my wife who I married on April 1st. Wanna know any more, just ask! Gav
